Gold Seal has further strengthened its team providing education, HR and compliance support to insurance intermediaries with the addition of Frances Terry. The importance of this aspect of Gold Seal’s business was further highlighted last week by ASIC Chairman Greg Medcraft’s comment about insurance being front and centre of ASIC’s attention.
Frances has over 30 years’ experience in and around the Australian insurance industry gaining first-hand experience within insurance broking and underwriting agency businesses as well as within corporate group management from a support-provider perspective. Her career was cultivated at a grass roots level and grew to include senior roles including Compliance Manager with SURA (Austagencies) and a member of the risk and compliance team at the AUB Group (formerly Austbrokers Holdings Ltd).
Gold Seal is the Australian insurance intermediary industry's largest business management, compliance, regulatory and people development organisation.
Frances will focus on providing compliance advice and audit services as well as delivering training including on one of Gold Seal’s core courses – Insurance Brokers’ Code of Practice.
Sheila Baker, Managing Director Gold Seal, said, “We are delighted to have Frances joining our fabulous team. At a time when insurance intermediaries are under increasing pressure from commercial, legal and regulatory angles, Frances’ appointment will help us do everything we can to support successful business practices.”
