Gold Seal has assisted a number of Australian institutions and intermediary groups with the development of compliant financial services operations and secondary insurance distribution channels.
In the insurance sector our Gold Book Business Operations Manuals are used by 75% of insurance brokers and 80% of Underwriting Agency Council members. Gold Seal manages and updates all compliance materials used by the Steadfast Group, a cluster group with over 300 insurance brokers and we also provide Compliance and HR/IR Helpline Services for members of that group.
In addition to being a leading provider of legal and compliance consulting and audit services in this sector, Gold Seal is a recognised Lloyd’s coverholder auditor, with its services used by over 22 Lloyd’s syndicates and London market insurers for coverholders in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. We provide regulatory support to the Underwriting Agencies Council in Australia.
For financial planners, Gold Seal is the Professional Services Partner to the Financial Planning Association for Compliance Services. MLC sponsored the development of our Gold Book Business Operations Manual for Financial Planners and Life Advisers which are used by 7 leading financial planning dealer groups. We project managed the AFS license applications of all of ING’s financial planning dealer groups and are currently assisting a number of financial planning businesses to prepare for AFS licensing.
For mortgage brokers, Gold Seal has a joint venture with the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia to develop a Business Operations Manual for its members. Gold Seal undertakes compliance reviews for mortgage brokers. We perform risk management and loan reviews of mortgage lenders for a Lloyds based LMI insurer.
