The ABCs of FSR
This self-study course is the perfect introduction for new staff to FSR and its impact on how they service and advise retail clients. Why not add it to your Induction Programme? That way it will help you to meet ASIC’s requirement for all advisers to have the relevant competence to perform their role and be trained in the company’s policies, procedures and compliance and risk management practices.
It’s also suitable to refresh and standardise the knowledge of your existing staff. It’s easy to lose sight of the detail when you are busy servicing your customers and this training will remind them of that detail and give them tips for ensuring they are meeting their legal obligations at all times.
The training will discuss the aim of FSR and clarify:
-
Who your retail clients are
-
The difference between Factual Information, General Advice and Personal Advice
-
It will discuss how to provide the following FSR disclosure documents and notices to retail clients:
- FSG
- General Advice Warning
- PDS
- Cooling-off Notice
- Confirmation of Cover
And finally, it will touch on other FSR obligations including:
- Record Keeping
- Fines and Penalties
- Significant and Recurring Breaches
- Complaints / Disputes
