If you, or anyone in your organisation, are interested in attending any training which is not currently scheduled for your State, please contact Gold Seal on 03 9510 5100 to register your interest. Should we receive sufficient enquiries, we will endeavour to schedule the workshops in those States currently not listed.

 TIER 1 (Insurance Broking) Accreditation

Gold Seal’s Tier 1 workshop meets ASIC requirements for Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) Accreditation. This two-day workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Client Needs Analysis 
  • Advising the Client
  • Implementing Client Solutions
  • Insurance Programme Management 
  • Reviewing Client Service Performance 

 

A Statement of Attainment for Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) accreditation will be issued on the successful completion of the workplace assignment after attendance at the workshop. 

Pre-requisite: ASIC Tier 2 Accreditation in general insurance products and a minimum of 18 months broking experience is recommended. Prospective students that do not currently meet these entry requirements should contact Gold Seal for guidance prior to registration.


TIER 2 (General Insurance) Accreditation

Gold Seal’s Tier 2 workshop meets ASIC requirements and provides general insurance product knowledge information that exceeds the minimum requirements. This one-day workshop will cover the following topics: 

 

  • The Australian Financial System and Markets
  • Introduction to Financial Services Reform
  • General Insurance Products
  • Analyse Client Needs
  • Develop and Present Client Solutions
  • Implement Client Solutions and Provide for Ongoing Service 

 

Statement of Attainment for Tier 2 accreditation will be issued on the successful completion of the workplace assignment after attendance at the workshop. There is some pre-course work required, so don't leave it to the last minute to register.

Pre-requisite: There are no formal pre-requisites for this accreditation, although it is desirable for students to have insurance sector and financial services regulatory framework knowledge, and 6-12 months industry experience.
 


 

Responsible Manager MasterClass

Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn a whole lot more about the role of a Responsible Manager, share your experiences with peers from your industry and draw on the knowledge of an experienced facilitator.

This one day workshop will cover the following topics:

  • The roles and responsibilities of Responsible Managers
  • Regulations in the Financial Services Industry
  • Ongoing obligations of an AFS licensee including disclosure, corporate governance, organisational capacity, financial management etc. 

A certificate of attendance is issued for the workshop.

The Facts about the Insurance Contracts Act

 

This half day workshop offers and indepth look at the Insurance Contracts Act, examining how the Act affects every stage of insurance transactions including pre-contractual negotiations, formation, policy terms and claims.

Changes and amendments to the Act will be highlighted.
