The 2016 Valerie Baker Memorial Award has been won by a South Australian broker. Once again the candidates were of a very high calibre, however Daniel Bullock from Safeguard Insurance Brokers emerged as the winner.
The judges were impressed with Bullock’s success in growing his business and his ability to adapt the business in the face of significant internal changes, according to Gold Seal, as well as his sustained involvement in IBNA.
Sheila Baker, managing director of Gold Seal said, “I’m so pleased for Daniel. He has long been a strong, positive figure in the intermediary space and I know he will make the most of every minute he spends in the heart of the London Market and at Lloyd’s.”
“This is the first time a South Australian intermediary has won the award and it speaks volumes to Daniel’s achievement, both within his own business and supporting the broader insurance community.”
Congratulations also to the other finalists:
- Kurt Nilsen – Lion Underwriting
- Micheal Kincaid – Regional Insurance Brokers
All the finalists were high achieving, respected members of our sector, and we acknowledge their outstanding contribution to the industry.
